Neighborhood Clean Up Day - September 16, 2011
On September 16, 2011 over 50 volunteers gathered for the last clean up day of the year in the St. Clair Place neighborhood. Once again, mother nature was on our side and the great weather gave everyone the motivation they needed to make a BIG impact in the area. Volunteers picked up trash, spread mulch at Legacy houses where we already have tenants moved in, and planted fall foilage. Additionally, volunteers helped paint the outside of a building on 10th Street. While our cleanup efforts are over for the year, this will certainly not be the last time we will be in the neighborhood. Our volunteers have really enjoyed this opportunity to make a difference on our city's near eastside! Visit www.flickr.com/photos/MIBOR100 for pictures!
Neighborhood Clean Up Day - June 16, 2011
On June 16, 2011 more than 55 volunteers gathered in the St. Clair Place neighborhood to pick up trash, plant flowers, edge and mulch. "This is our second clean-up event in the neighborhood, and we saw an even larger response from REALTORS® this time around," said Joyce Scotten 2011 REALTOR® Foundation President. "The transformation here is remarkable. The neighbors have been great partners and we are so honored to be part of their success." The final of three clean-up events will take place in September. Neighborhood Clean Up Day – April 14, 2011
On April 14, 2011 forty-four REALTOR® and real estate professionals volunteered to help clean up the Building a Living Legacy neighborhood. Nearly 90 bags of debris were collected in an effort to beautify the neighborhood and bring awareness to MIBOR's pledge of $500,000 to lift up the emerging neighborhood on Indy's eastside. The REALTOR® Building a Living Legacy effort will carve out approximately 10 percent (or 32 housing units) of the larger Super Bowl Housing Legacy Project.
